SOUNDCLOUD ANNOUNCES IT'S FIRST EFFORTS TO GO BACK TO "IT'S ROOTS"

April 1, 2015 -

Music streaming giant Soundcloud announced that it'll be going to it's "roots". Read the press release below to find out more!

Soundcloud has always been a platform for the artist and we have realized the error of our ways. As of next week (April 6th, 2015), we will be removing ads as well as selecting a new team to monitor copy-right cases. We will no longer pull down mixes for simply having a minute or two of a song. Major music labels will no longer have any say on website decisions. Soundcloud has always promoted the art of music and any form of it. Producers can sleep soundly as we won't no longer taking down any remixes they have done, no matter what a label has to say about it. However this does not mean that users can do whatever they want, if a track is uploaded and said user does not have permission to upload it then we will quickly terminate the users account.

To make sure everyone knows this is real, Soundcloud is giving all active users a months worth of their "Pro" service free of charge! This is also the first of many reforms Soundcloud will be pushing out in the coming months.
