Sin City Hearts Kept The Party Going

If there's anything that signifies the grand celebration of life that we know as the Desert Hearts festival, it's that they are widely known for having nonstop music at their event. Although this isn't always feasible outside of the reservation, they still manage to keep the spirit alive with their City Hearts parties that have made waves in places all over the world. Without even so much as a pause, the DH crew brought their spirits to the legendary place where the party never stops, Las Vegas for the first ever Sin City Hearts, also made possible by our good friends at CollectiveZoo. We were amped to see that they will be offering 12 hours of house, techno, and love in Glitter Gulch, better known as Downtown LV. With a lineup containing the illustrious DH crew and special guests Cut Snake and Nathan Barato, we knew we were in for quite the fun time.

The day began with sets from some local favorites, as they provided the proper daytime vibes to keep people dancing in the Vegas heat.

Right at 2 pm, the show was slated to have the decks graced by the first 2 DH crew members Marbs and Porkchop. Their sets were chock full of bouncy tech house, old jams and some sweet edits including one of This Must Be the Place by Talking Heads.

After Porkchop, the new addition to the house and techno circuit from Relief Records Nathan Barato stepped up, and he surely did deliver. His set included the signature dark tech house sound synonymous with the label, and it brought out the perfect evening vibes to carry attendees into the next set by Cut Snake.

Next up were 2 more of the beloved crew, Lee Reynolds and Mikey Lion. Their sets went in an entirely different direction, with the both of them dropping a lot of dark techno and gritty tunes that kept the energy at an all-time high. Some highlights of their sets included when they dropped Mind Dimension by Tiga, and a throwback tune by Boys Noize from his album Oi Oi Oi, Superfresh.

Overall, our first city hearts experience in the city of lights was a spectacular one. A 12-hour romp in downtown LV ended up being just what the doctor ordered. We'd like to give a special thanks to Desert Hearts and CollectiveZoo for putting together another spectacular event.
