Maceo Plex & Jon Dasilva - Love Somebody Else feat. Joi Cardwell

Barcelona based star Maceo Plex and Stockholm native Jon Dasilva combine to produce this retro deep disco - laced house anthem which, although over a year old, still delivers in every aspect. Originally inspired by Dasilva's original 90s remix of Colourblind's ' You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else, ' Plex has added a more groovy and bass driven feel to it, perfect for an uplifting Sunday morning anthem. Featuring the mesmerising vocals of Jones Girls, Maceo Plex's influence on this track is certainly felt - with heavy elastic basslines and deep melodic pads thumping throughout this is certainly another of the Spaniards masterpiece's. 10 Years Later: A Look Back At Outkast & The Last Revolutionary Hip-Hop Album

Today, September 23rd, 2013 marks the 10-year anniversary of Outkast’s landmark album, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. When I realized this, the first thing that went through my mind was “Damn, time flies.” It seems like it was yesterday that I was listening to “Hey Ya!” and “The Way You Move” on 102.7 KIIS FM while my mom was driving me to school. I remember “Hey Ya!” being played at those awkward-ass middle school dances. Speakerboxxx/The Love Below also has personal importance to me because, along with The Black Album, it’s the first hip-hop record that I actually went out and bought (it’s hard to imagine a time before iTunes, but buying CDs was actually a thing 10 years ago). Now, some might be asking why, of all the hip-hop albums released around this time, am I writing about this particular one. Well, quite simply, Outkast raised the bar with Speakerboxxx/The Love Below as far as hip-hop goes, and that bar has yet to be matched.

Passion Pit - Constant Conversations (Noah Breakfast Remix ft. Juicy J)

While I guess it is technically dinner time, you can't say no to a little breakfast. And after dropping some of the biggest production of his career this year with the likes of Ellie Goulding and Big Sean, Noah Breakfast aka Xaphoon Jones is here yet again to serve your ears with another spicy tune. Finally, the young producer hailing from Philadelphia does it again with yet another major tune, this time with his much anticipated remix of Passion Pit's "Constant Conversations." While the original remix that he did for Columbia Records back in 2012 has unfortunately yet to officially hit the Internet (hopefully we get to see it one day), after being asked by Juicy J's people to combine his and the rappers vocal version of the track, the byproduct is something else.

With an almost Alice In Wonderland type feel, Xaphoon Jones turns it up -- literally -- as he adds relaxing piano synths and ear catching plucks throughout the song to add that extra oomph to the ears. Starting off with Passion Pit's own Mr. Angelakos's uplifting vocals, Xaph pulls a full 360 on us by switching over to the catchy vocal edit and flow of Juicy J. While there isn't a toy in a cereal box, this track is available for a free download for you to enjoy, here.
