Rutherford House

With bass music exponentially increasing with popularity over in the UK, and new and more unique and inventive producers releasing fresher material, there have been some massive releases as of late. With some of the prominent names in the industry returning from a summer of touring, we can expect big things to come. This week, we've rounded together a mixture of hot releases and some old classics. Enjoy

Big garage influenced tune here from Bradford based prodigy Ben Bodle. Fresh off a flurry of new releases there are obviously big things to come, and if you like this track check out 'Love is Not a Game.' Beginning with a progressive vocal sample, the track quickly rolls into a deep, bassy, upbeat section before cutting into another vocal sample and finishing with a more jackin influenced second drop. Ben Bodle is definitely one of the hottest prospects for bass music, make sure you check out his soundcloud for updates.

Jackin House pioneers Chris Lorenzo ( 1 half of Cause & Affect ) and Hannah Wants are back at it with a huge remix of Disclosure's Confess To Me, which was first featured in Miss Wants' recent Warehouse Project Mix. After spending the entire summer in Ibiza, the pair have announced big plans for the next few months and this is certainly a signal of intent. Whilst still managing to keep the melodic and dreamy vocals of Jessie Ware intact, Lorenzo and Wants deliver with a huge crunching and groovy bassline that resonates throughout the whole track. Make sure you check this one out.

Next up with S.Jays newest tune 'Sinister Bitch'. This song lives up to the name and has that continuous dark rollin baseline. He's let this one up for free so give him some support for constant high quality releases.

Hybrid Theory, the Birmingham duo have been on fire recently with new tracks but this ones definitely the one to mention. These two are fast rising producers known for there bass heavy house and are not afraid to experiment. Hybrid Theory utilising vocal snippets in this tune to emphasize different sections with ease, a signature technique that never fails to impress.

This tune may not quite fit into the 'House & Bass' or 'Bass House' category but it can definitely be mentioned similar for the underground sound. Arun Verone is considered to some one of the Midlands most consistent and hard working music producers that is behind a ongoing list of successful house beats mixing his deep house background with his unique electronic Bass style.

Released over a year ago, this minimal driving bass super track still features in many of Richie Hawtin's minimal techno sets, including the one in which he played at Warehouse Project, only a few weeks ago. Produced by Dublin based duo Matador, this song features eerie piano lines that certainly compliment the name of the track.

These two huge bass hitting tracks are released by Leeds based label Albion Records. Dutch based prodigy De Sluwe Vos delivers with two exceptionally crafted bass house monsters, featuring uplifting buildups and deep, energetic drops. Make sure you check these out.

Finally, a slightly older track from Birmingham's hottest house star at the moment Low Steppa. Fresh off a flurry of new and exciting remixes there are certainly huge things to come from him. Simples is perhaps more of a bass house track than his jackin house releases, featuring deep vocal samples and glitchy basslines. Out now 0n Beatport, with support from acts like Shadow Child and Foamo.
