Rolling Loud rap festival, promoted by DOPE Entertainment, marked the beginning of its global expansion campaign with the release of the first Bay Area lineup this week.

The stacked lineup includes headliners and hip-hop superstars Travis Scott, Lil Wayne and Schoolboy Q, all of whom are can’t-miss performers. But the beauty of the lineup lies in its depth. The two-day festival runs Oct. 21-22, and features established rap heavyweights as well as rookies with endless potential; mainstream stars and underground legends alike.

The diverse list of artists extends from four of the 2017 XXL Rookies in Playboi Carti, XXXTENTACION, PNB Rock and A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE, to Schoolboy’s TDE teammate Isaiah Rashad, as well as underground kings-turned-well-know-names Denzel Curry and spitta himself, Curren$y. Fans are sure to find great performances throughout the weekend, as well as quite a few tough decisions to be made.

After thriving in its first three years in Miami with a streak of sold-out appearances, Rolling Loud announced big plans earlier this month. Following the Bay Area shows this fall, the festival will be held in Southern California in December, before traveling on an international tour in 2018 with stops in China, the United Kingdom and Japan.

In previous interviews, Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cheriff has credited his excitement in rap music, in part, to his views of rappers as today’s rock stars, and underground rap as the punk rock of today’s industry.

Tickets for the Bay Area festival go on sale Tuesday Aug. 18, at 12 PM PST, according to a tweet from Rolling Loud.

For rap fans across Northern California and those willing to make the trip, this is a can’t-miss opportunity to experience your favorite artists, and those you will surely follow in the future alongside those who share your love for this rapidly growing genre.
