Tyler Marenyi, the North Hollywood producer steadily rising among EDM’s elite better known by his stage name NGHTMRE, released a remix of the latest RL Grime track, Aurora, this afternoon. Adding more urgency to a track only recently made public in its original form, Marenyi exemplifies his ability to implement a variety of sounds into one fluid sound structure. Though a much faster pace than the original, the NGTMRE remix never takes it too far. The build ups force the listener to await the coming drop with eyes closed and ears wide open. The use of false drops take their anxiety to the brink before the funky percussion-pattern used toward the end of the original Grime drops, instead lead the way to fierce new trap drops, taking a futuristic tone with the introduction of bubbly synth tones among crushing bass. Never losing the dreamy sound space, which gives the original song its emotional power, NGHTMRE finds a way to take the energy up in this remix. A great track reimagined to create a club banger.
