It's Lido, we finally have hard evidence that the 'ever-elusive' producer Trippy Turtle, is in fact, Norweigan trap-star Lido. Hours before his show at Webster Hall last Friday, he posted on the Trippy Turtle Facebook page, "Can anyone in New York help me out with what to wear tonight? The airline lost my turtle-shell... Help!." To no avail, Trippy was forced to perform without his infamous turtle shell sweatshirt, revealing his identity.
Peder Losnegård [aka Trippy Turtle aka Lido] killed it for an hour and a half with his signature style of jersey club that's been spreading like wild fire on the internet over the past couple of months. Towards the end of the set he confirmed his identity with the crowd by playing back to back Lido remixes, which had the venue going nuts.
Brooklyn native, Sweater Beats opened for Trippy and he set the tone for the evening with his sensual r&b and future bass tracks that had the crowd feeling all warm and fuzzy. His allegiance to early/mid 2000's hip hop tracks had everyone bumping and grinding (see what I did there?).
"Girls & Boys" resident's, RekLES and Hiyawatha, closed out the night on a similar note but they played more relevant and recent tracks.
