Release: Submotion Orchestra - Thinking (Mark Knight Remix)

These days, you seldom find a truly genuine track that makes you appreciate how great house music can really be. 80% of releases try and appeal to those riding the new-wave bandwagon of melodic music, and don't get me wrong, I absolutely love progressive house and everything it brings to the genre of electronic music as a whole, especially when you find that genuinely amazing melody or hook once in a while. But because of its popularity people have suddenly thought that just because they can harmonize three parts of a synth line that suddenly means they've created a banger, which has resulted in an ever increasing generic sound among the majority of progressive tracks.

Toolroom Records head honcho Mark Knight is someone whom I can always depend on when I look for a break from some of the generic releases, and he definitely delivers in this track, providing us with pounding basslines and a hypnotic vocal. The result being a genuine house gem that I will be playing for a very long time to come. Enjoy!
