Following his appearances at both EDC Las Vegas and EDC New York, as well as a multitude of shows around the globe in between, including the "A State Of Trance" show, the #7 DJ in the world is coming back to Philadelphia! That’s right boys and girls, Jeffrey Sutorius a.k.a. Dash Berlin will be returning to Sound Garden Hall once again after his sold out show earlier this year.
So this was ready for yesterday, but we got caught up in our EDC Las Vegas / Miami travel plans that we are finally getting to it today. We're going way back in the day to the Golden Era of hip-hop in this week's sample, courtesy of the legendary Eric B. & Rakim.
Not too much can be found on this new artist yet, but he does have one killer remix that blew up in the EDM world recently. Crizzly, describing his sound as "crunkstep" released his spin on the infamous "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on April 29th. Now his name is popping up on festival line ups all over the country. One of those festivals is Camp Bisco 12. After seeing him not once, but twice in one night at EDC and then again in the basement at Webster Hall, it will truly be a honor to rage with him again. And where better to do that that at the spacious Indian Lookout Country Club that hosts Camp Bisco Music Festival? Now, Trap music is taking the spot light in the scene due to the over whelming hype and excitement not only from the music itself, but from the fans who love it. An amazing set is about the music and an amazing experience is about the people. Fortunately, crizzly will bring the music and the crowd to camp Bisco this summer. We hope to see you all there!!
Even in May, Chicago still lives up to its nickname. Though the weather was cold, it didn’t dismay the DJs or fans that had traveled from across the country to the first Midwest Electric Daisy Carnival. Located South the city, The Chicago Motor Speedway provided a large backdrop to accommodate five unique stages. Some of the early arrivals explored the festival grounds freely, with many intrigued by the Wide Awake Cart, a small, mobile stage that cranked out tunes by some of the areas most popular DJs.
