Yes, you read that correctly. The Father of FoFoFadi, Trippy Turtle, announced a show in conjunction with Mad Decent and The Sea Turtle Conservancy in Los Angeles, CA. This would be the Turtle's first show on the West Coast, and with his identity still a mystery (though we know it's not Cashmere Cat now), we might just be able to find out who he is! The jersey club scene has been popping off this year with guys such as Trippy Turtle, Djemba Djemba, Brenmar and the elusive DJ Yolo Bear at its helm.

Tomorrow's lineup includes the aforementioned Trippy Turtle, as well as Djemba Djemba and LIZ. The show is at Complex , 806 E Colorado St from 10p-2am.

Trippy Turtle, the suspected dance-oriented alter ego of downtempo don Cashmere Cat just released a tasty remix of Robin Thicke's "Give It 2 U." This is full of summery vibes with the familiar jersey club beat and bed-squeak noise that Trippy Turtle has become known for. The production on this track is lush, without overloading the listener with too many textures.

When I got word of DJ Yolo Bear playing a set at 285 Kent in Brooklyn I had to be there to finally witness the unmasking of this enigma. For those who don’t know, Yolo Bear first made his debut with jersey club delight Make U Touch My on Day 09 of Lucky Me’s Christmas compilation giveaway entitled 12 Days of Lucky Me. After a few months of stewing across the web and in DJ sets curiosity sparked as to whom the hysterically titled DJ that made this banger could be. Twitter hype sparked a flurry of rumors surmising Yolo Bear could be Cashmere Cat, Doctor Jeep or the masked totting DJ’s Paypal or Depressed Teenager. Regardless I had to be sure, so I made my way down to Brooklyn the night of his show...
