I don't know about all of you guys, but when Zedd released his track alongside Hayley Williams 'Stay the Night' a few months back I was somewhat disappointed with its pop sound, and the lack of that classic Zedd energy. It brings me great pleasure to bring you this evening, Zedd's own remix of that track alongside Kevin Drew. Retaining Williams' fantastic vocals, this track now drops into some hard hitting complextro synth work, the sound that made Zedd one of my favourite producers in the entire industry. This electro sound is a real breath of fresh air, with all these big room, single chord drops that have been dominating the beatport top 100 over the last year! Here's an early new years gift courtesy of Steinway. This is for those who liked Zedd's recent pop hit but couldn't find themselves dancing to it. New York based Steinway lays down the fat beat from Deorro's "Dechorro" like a bed for Hailey's vocals to bounce on like young girl at a slumber party...or a maiden getting tossed around on a one night stand. The latter seems more fitting given the lyrical theme.
Zedd's vocal anthem Clarity has really summed up 2013 for many of us, being the most played acapella at both Ultra Music Festival and Belgium's Tomorrowland, whilst being remixed countless times by so many artists. However, I am here this morning with what I believe to be the best remix of Clarity we have heard so far. The young Andrew Rayel has been making waves across the Trance scene, with a string of recent gems, three of which made it onto Armin van Buuren's Universal Religion compilation, and now to celebrate reaching 100,000 likes on Facebook, he is giving away this masterpiece of a remix. Whilst it doesn't quite reach the likes of 138 bpm, it still drives at a steady 132 perfectly complimenting Foxes heartfelt vocals, and smashing into lush harmonies and melodies.
