Since their emphatic debut in 2021, rising artist Orang Utan has been lighting up the electronic scene. This project consists of two friends from the city of Hamburg in Germany, both with visionary perspectives when it comes to music production. Working together, this creative duo has forged a style that breaks down the barriers of genre. Their music fuses funk, indie, and electronic soundscapes into a one-of-a-kind twist on progressive house.

Even though Orang Utan has only released a few songs, they have already received over three million streams in total. One of their successful singles is “Who’s Your Love”, which has syncs in two popular Netflix shows and in FIFA 2022. Their forward-thinking sound design has been recognized by the revered label Ultra Records, which has signed Orang Utan for multiple tracks. In addition to the pair’s innovative productions, they are also highly skilled in DJing. Orang Utan has blessed crowds from Cannes to LA to Berlin.

Furthering their ascension to the throne of electronic music, Orang Utan has a new magnetic release called “Sugarmama”. Veteran Dimitri Vegas loved the dance anthem so much that he decided to put his own spin on it. Filled with chilling effects and electrifying vocal cuts, this “Sugarmama” edit is a wild auditory adventure for those who take a shot on it. Releasing on label Position Music with this release, Orang Utan continues to prove that they are an unstoppable force in the electronic community.
