The breakbeat phenomena has been around since the start of music; a quintessential component in today's electronic genre that is used in everything from house, techno, bass to hip-hop. In recent times, the breakbeat style has been put somewhat on the backburner - NYC Bass Collective and Vitamin B are here to change that. Revamping, rejuvenating, throwing it in your face - whatever you want to call it - this is a monthly New York City event like you've never seen. This Saturday (July 25, 2015) at SLAKE NYC, the two collaborators will be hosting their first Beat Street party, headlined by the ever talented Keith Mackenzie. If you consider yourself a music aficionado, this is definitely something you don't want to miss. And if you're not quite there yet? We've got you covered - whether you want to explore an unfamiliar genre or are simply looking for a good time, the Beat Street team guarantees to bring you great music, good vibes, and a night full of entertainment.

The event has been built to modernize and reinvigorate the Breakbeat, Nu Skool Breaks, and Bass House classics by inspiring the new generation. Each week the crew will be bringing inventive, exhilarating artists and top-notch dance teams for a fully interactive experience. The entire spectacle has been designed to bring attendees back in time, to the days of NYC graffiti, break dancers, and heavy underground vibes. Old-skool never goes out of style, and the NYC Bass Collective's creation is a full-fledged adventure for all the vintage senses.

The massive line-up includes heavyweights and locals like Keith Mackenzie, Monikkr, Kristin Lush, The Beat Kitty, Illexxandra, Tim The Enchanter, and more. And a major added bonus? World renowned visual artist Ben Moon has been appointed the head of art and decor - so you know you're in for a treat.  The Beat Street team is here to captivate and educate on one of electronic music's most influential ingredients.
