Hailing from rural Gloucestershire in the UK, Nat Oaks is an artist who is full of determination and passion for music. Throughout the last year, she has displayed her memorable live performances at Love Saves The Day and Wireless Festival. To add to these feats, Oaks has also had a role in Warner Chappell Music along with YouTube Music's Summer Of Pride Writing Camps. During these experiences, she co-wrote with renowned artists like MNEK, SAKIMA, and Boy Matthews.
Via her efforts across the music industry, Oaks has created a style and sound that is contagious to anyone who listens to it. This style is present in her newest single "London Town", which incorporates a multitude of genres. The song encompasses amazing vocals and beautiful synths that captivate its audience. Talking about the track's creation and how it was inspired, Oaks shares, “'London Town' is all about ambition. Having somewhere you want to get to and constantly striving for it. I’m a bit of a workaholic, but the buzz that London brings keeps me really excited and makes me want to work every day.
It’s also a tribute to the kids from my hometown of Gloucester. It can sometimes feel like a dead end but I just want the young ones there to know that they can do anything they want if they put their minds to it. It gets frustrating when young people are put down. They just need that one person to believe in them. I hope I’m at least that one person they know has their back.”
Oaks' powerful message is conveyed through this masterpiece and is a precursor to her bright future in the music industry. With the inclusion of rap, enticing drums, and other intriguing sound elements, "London Town" is a hit that will be etched in history and builds on Oaks' legacy as an artist.
