With so many producers in today's music industry, it is tough to stand out among the masses. However, some artists are able to find a signature sound that separates them from the rest and grow a dedicated fanbase. One producer who has this role on lock is Indianapolis native Nahvi. Through his ability to merge jazz, gospel, and soul, with hip-hop, Nahvi has helped shape the future of sound design. Another X-factor that makes isolates Nahvi as an extremely high-level artist is the layering of Latin American and African drums in his originals.
Training in classical piano during his childhood and teenage years, Nahvi moved on to DJing at a variety of venues and building his craft in production. Since then, his career has evolved into a unique project with experimental soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from iconic performers like A Tribe Called Quest, Pharrell, and John Coltrane, Nahvi incorporates sampling and rhythm to put his listeners in a trance. As he strengthens his extraordinary genre-bending process, Nahvi is back with his brand new flip of Ludacris's "Stand Up".
Full of resonating drums and a baile funk aura, Nahvi's "Stand Up" remix makes its audience beeline for the dance floor. Resembling a Jersey Club hit, the track intertwines Ludacris's powerful vocals with a lively bassline. This is the beginning of a stream of electrifying edits that Nahvi will be putting out this year. Additionally, his collaborative debut LP, Go Be Great, with DKdoitall is set to be released on April 28th. It is an exciting road ahead for Nahvi as his outside-the-box production continues to spread like wildfire.
