Mr. Sampson - Weight of Time / Yeah (Music Video)

January 21, 2015 -

Rising electro-funk group Mr. Sampson are back with another inspired release, this time showcasing their skills in a live in-studio performance. In case you're not familiar, Mr. Sampson is a music project formed by two students based in Philadelphia, producer Joe Haederle and drummer Aaron Harel. They form the backbone of the group, employing soulful sample manipulation, experimental sound design, and skillful live instrumentation to great effect.

Mr. Sampson's latest music video captures the energy of their dynamic live show, an original song titled "Weight of Time" that segues into a cover of Pretty Lights Music artist Eliot Lipp. "Weight of Time" comes from their new EP The Gathering Storm, due for release in late February. It's very refreshing to see a band carve out their own niche and remain wholly original in the process. They are much more than a sum of their parts and this video is the perfect example as to why. Stay up to date with all things Mr. Sampson and follow them on Facebook and Soundcloud for more music.
