This is one of those posts where I'm posting about someone no one knows about. I don't care, if no one knows about him. This guy is fucking amazing. Nihil Young (funny) hails from berlin Germany, and he does not play around. He produces everything from tech house to progressive to deep house. Some of his songs border on rave music with detunes sirens scattered throughout in a syncopated manner.
This particular song is interesting. It is so deep in the beginning, the vocal samples sound like the encompass the universe around you. And then there is a menacing bell like synth that leads you gently into the bassline, which, in my opinion, rocks some fuckin socks off. Also, love the snare in this song, it is the perfect combination between a clap and snare hit. That makes me wonder if maybe Young decided to layer one over the other. Whatever he did, it worked. I love this song, it really raises my spirits, and to be honest, is making me super excited for the weekend. The only thing I wish is that I could listen to this song during the summer. I suppose I will have to wait until next summer to try this baby out in the hot humid sun.
Alsom as far as summer/beach house music goes, Dinka is the best by far. No one in America knows about Dinka because she doesn't tour in America. However, she would be huge if she came here. She spins the music, but some other dude produces it. They make a spectacular team though. Here is one of my favorite songs by Dinka that reminds me of the beach.
