Disco Fries: a New York poutine-like smorgasbord of french fries, mozzarella cheese, and gravy ? Or a New York-based production duo who blur genre lines and have the support of Tiesto, Hardwell, and Kaskade? Although the first does sound delicious, I'm going with the latter on this one.
Nick and Danny joined forces back in 2007 to create The Disco Fries, and have consistently been putting out bangers that can be defined under multiple genres ever since. What I love about these guys is the vortex of energy they create with their combination of progressive and big room beats accompanied by massive bass lines. You'll be bouncing around one minute and head banging the next. In addition to the numerous singles and remixes they've released over the years, they curated a radio show called Liftoff Radio that was picked up by Tiesto and housed on his Club Life channel on Sirius XM. But they're not just part of his radio channel. The Disco Fries co-produced Tiesto's track, Wasted featuring Matthew Koma and co-wrote and co-produced Shimmer featuring Christian Burns. Not only has Tiesto taken notice, but it's also casting on both BPM and Electric Area channels! For Liftoff episode 005, they've included two premieres, their original, Louder and Ramuh (Nitro Fun Remix) which is available for free download here. Subscribe to Liftoff Radio on iTunes here.
They'll be joining us during Miami Music Week so make sure to stay tuned while we see what else they have been up to!
