Miley Cyrus Proves She Can Sing with Cover of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" [BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge]

For all of the haters, doubters, and studio engineers that thought that Miley's quirky singing voice was a product of the brilliant technology we have these days, well you are partially correct. But after listening to Miley's acoustic performance of Lana Del Rey's smash hit Summertime Sadness most notably remixed by Mr. Cedric Gervais, at least I begin to give the girl some credit. The acoustic, slowed down version brings that coffee house and late night feel with subtle piano chords, background vocals, and guitar riffs that richen the track with dignity and grace. Enjoy!

We were also come to know that Miley began her performance, alongside radio host Annie Mac, with her Bangerz smash hit and comedic video sensation "Wrecking Ball." After some schools across the wonderful nation actually banned "twerking" from dances and proms, it's good to see Miley one, fully clothed and two, performing to the ability that we all knew was capable of the once Disney Channel star.
