That's what we've been asking ourselves the past few days since the release of this new track. With the success of anonymous artists such as Zhu and UZ, it's no surprise that big shot producers might be stepping behind the curtains to release music. It brings mystery and fantasy to a work as well as an opportunity to try something. Rather than imagining a producer in the studio we're left looking at the music and art as its own entity.
WaVeZ is a colorful bouncy piece straight out of a cartoon from the future. It is lined with deep chords and hypnotic drums that sinks the listener into a playful vibe. The trap samples and jersey patterns offer more of an edge making it a fun track to spin live. After a lot of repetitive future bass coming out this track feels a bit more innovative and new for the context of the genre.
As much as we wanna speculate who this person is, we'd rather just chill back and enjoy the deep bounce sounds marshmello has to offer.
