Mark Lizaola - 'Oh Hi Mark'

July 7, 2016 -

Will Cuccurullo

If you want a glimpse into the flourishing LA House scene, look no further than Mark Lizaola's most recent release, 'Oh Hi Mark.' The SoCal-based producer has been spinnin' the LA underground circuit for eight years. During this time, Lizaola has lent his services to venues such as Exchange LA and Create Hollywood, and has opened for house trio Télépopmusik.

'Oh Hi Mark' brings a minimal sound nostalgic of old school House. The groovy baselines and slow buildup are a welcomed contrast to the big and bright sounds that currently dominate the genre. Released independently, 'Oh Hi Mark' is available for free via SoundCloud.

Fans of the LA House sound should check out The Outlook. Featuring a lineup of producers and DJs making noise in LA's underground scene, names like Shmitty and Mark Lizaola will provide beats in a desert location TBA. The Outlook is scheduled for August 6th, with a recommended presale donation of $10. Tickets are available here.
