In Los Angeles, there is this mysterious event that has gained much acclaim from many listeners and respected artist alike. This event is known as Low End Theory, a local phenomena where beat heads from all around the LA area gather weekly to witness some of the world’s best underground hip-hop acts. This all takes place at The Airliner, a small and intimate club that makes for the perfect environment for such an event to take place. With big names such as Djemba Djemba, Tyler the Creator, and 12 Planet playing alongside the club’s famed residents, Low End Theory has easily become one of the best weekly parties in LA for those who like to take a step outside of the typical club scene.
Not only has the L.E.T. team flipped The Airliner upside down consistently every Wednesday, but they also have been organizing an annual festival as well. Last year, the Low End Theory Festival made its debut, which unsurprisingly received just as much positive feedback as the group's weekly events. That being said, we are excited to present to you the lineup for this year’s second annual Low End Theory festival, which is going down August 8th. Featuring the likes of Flying Lotus, Earl Sweatshirt, and Nosaj Thing, we can't even being to imagine what kind of craziness is in store for us. Not only is the lineup spectacular, but the L.E.T. team also chose to bring the festival to the Shrine Expo instead of the Echo, meaning that many more will be able to go and experience Low End Theory on the festival scale. This, along with a new partnership with Golden Voice, shows that this year’s festival will be an epic event that all of you beat heads out there won't want to miss. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 12 pm here so be sure to grab them before it is too late!
