After our first encounter with Toronto's own, Charlie Darker, at Veld Music Festival back in August 2013, the Canadian DJ/producer is back, this time announcing his brand new side project under the moniker "Teamsports." The debut two-track EP for the Darker alias, entitled About Fun, further proves that producers are beginning to lead into this future bass-inspired house movement with insinuating beats, crisp and chill melodies, and seductive, yet punctual vocals. Knowing that Charlie Darker began his production in the dubstep and electro house influenced spaces, the new future-bass move comes at no surprise, accompanying his bouncy bass lines with a deeply layered synth vibe.

Teamsports has been a long time coming. I make a lot of different types of music, and this a new outlet for me to release what doesn't necessarily fit under Charlie Darker. The "About Fun" EP is just as it sounds - it's just supposed to be fun. That's the goal for the whole project.
