In honor of Valentine's Day, this weeks playlist is dedicated to romance. Despite the fact that plenty of more modern artists have beautiful love songs, I decided to focus this playlist on the classics. The sixties and early seventies have some of the purest and most romantic songs of all time, and I've collected them here for your Valentine's listening pleasure.

I've arranged the playlist so it starts with the more mellow, instrumental songs and steadily moves into the romantic ballads, ending (as could be predicted) with Marvin Gaye and Rene Hall's "Let's Get It On." This collection features artists that can be enjoyed regardless of your relationship status or your Valentine's Day activities of choice. If your day doesn't include romance, see this as purely an opportunity to listen to some great classics that don't get played nearly enough anymore.
