FINALLY. Kap Slap, aka Jared Lucas, an NYC-based DJ/producer released his first single (EVER), "Let It All Out (feat. Angelika Vee)," today through Ultra Records. Lucas has been making and releasing EDM/Top 40 bootlegs since 2011, but this is the first original single for the 24-year-old artist. And what a debut it is. The track picks up quickly and doesn't let up for 3 and a half minutes, with Lucas seamlessly layering traditional EDM vibes with Angelika Vee's sweeping vocals. It took Kap Slap a while to put out an original (I've been following him since 2011 and been jonesing for an original all the while), but this carefully-crafted track is well worth the wait. Here's to hoping the next original will be out in the next couple months rather than years.
