Kaaaaatastrophic. The name assumes something chaotic, unorganized, abstract and beautifully insane. These might also be the words that come to mind when listening to the music of Katrina Elizabeth aka Kaaaaatastrophic. Her style and vision of her music is so unique there is no real way to describe her music in terms we are commonly familiar with. This is what makes her stand out. Using improvisation and a Maschine, Kaaaaatastrophic is able to create whatever comes to her on the fly and the results are out of this world. I particularly enjoy her abstract, ambient and experimental qualities she brings to the table with her productions and reminds me somewhat of Atoms For Peace. Even her own personal taste in music is impressive: J-Dilla, Holy Ghost, Shlohmo, VVV, Ghostek, Clams Casino, Delete, Tokimonsta, Gasface, Polish Ambassador to name a few.
