JOYWAVE - SOMEBODY NEW (ST. LUCIA REMIX)

June 27, 2015 -

HELLO HELLO, DAILY BEAT. Finally back after a "Holy shit I am growing up and have to graduate and start my postgrad life and job"-induced hiatus.

Here is a fresh remix from St. Lucia of Joywave's "Somebody New" from the band's third album, "How Do You Feel Now?". Jean-Philip Grobler (St. Lucia) took the indie rock band's piece and gave it a synth pop treatment that works so magically; we're talking bonus track off of "When The Night" status here.  Solid build action. Sweeping instrumentals. It's real nice.

This is one that you'll want when it's raining, when it's sunny, and especially on those weird summer days when the weather just can't sort its shit out.

St. Lucia is playing Nashville Pride tonight after getting rained out yesterday, so make sure to check that out if you're in the area. For those of us not fortunate enough to make it, St. Lucia is on tour so make sure to grab a ticket ASAP.
