Joy Orbison - Donell

April 27, 2013 -

Christopher Lavinio

London based Garage artist Joy Orbison's new track "Donell" dropped earlier this week, bringing us yet another swinging funky house-influenced track.  Sampling Donell Jones' vocals in his single "U Know What's Up" featuring the late, great Left-Eye of TLC, Joy speeds things up and brings some darker sounds to make a track I see being played by artists like Shadow Child or Disclosure.  Available for free download(!), Joy Orbison's 2009 track "Hyph Mngo" brought his name to the forefront of labels like Hotflush, and even the more recent Swamp81.

Dance with your lady to this one.
