Anjunabeats's movement towards vibrantly pulsating, club-friendly tracks has been spear-headed in part by the label's current rock-star, Jason Ross. This past Friday, Ross unleashed the colossal titan "Onyx" from his Poké-ball -- a track so smashing that Above & Beyond selected it as ABGT 227's Record of the Week. "Onyx" is the product of Ross's characteristic sound, with a dash of familiar elements from Porter Robinson, Seven Lions and Andrew Bayer. In fact, it's the perfect follow-up to the hard-hitting "Higher Love," which he produced in collaboration with Seven Lions and MUTEMATH's Paul Meany.
With "Onyx," Ross has sent out a global signal that his sound has evolved to melodic electro-house and festival anthems. We can't wait to hear what he brews next! Catch him on the Anjunabeats North American Tour alongside Andrew Bayer, ilan Bluestone and others at The Church in Denver, the City National Civic in San Jose and the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles.
