For those still riding off the mellow yet strangely provocative vocals of James Blake from last weekend, here’s a track for you. Irish producer Bear//Face who’s recently begun to climb the ranks into the spotlight threw one of the best slow-your-heart-rate remixes I’ve heard to date. His edit to Blake’s Voyeur (Bootleg Edit) pulls the chopped and screwed style entirely out of the hip hop genre. Don’t get me wrong – I got love for the classic southern spin, but Face’s use of Blake’s faded vocals is making way for a wholly new take on this recently electro-infused genre. Stay out of the sun for this one; you don’t want to melt too quickly!
