Insomniac Events Cancels Day Two of EDC UK

Insomniac Events released a statement this week saying that Electric Daisy Carnival UK's two-day festival has now been reduced to one. The festival will go Saturday July 12th as planned, but Sunday July 13th has been cancelled due to "logistical issues beyond [their] control”.

Those attendees who purchased Sunday tickets have the opportunity to exchange it for an additional Saturday ticket, or receive a full refund. The bonus for those who only purchased tickets for Saturday is that Calvin Harris, the headliner for Sunday, has now been added to the Saturday lineup.

The fact that Insomniac is able to accommodate the transfer of their tickets from Sunday to Saturday certainly means that the festival has under sold its goal, leaving many sad clowns from this unfortunate result.

No speculation here as to whether this is related to the World Cup Finals falling during the same weekend, or if the demand has been diluted by other EDM festivals happening the same weekend (Ultra Europe), but we can certainly say that the silver lining for attendees is that they will have Sunday to recover from what still promises to be a spectacular event.
