In the world of digital dreams and vagrant fantasies Hoodboi is taking a step from the underground scene into the EDM spotlight with his debut EP on Fool's Gold Records. Nothing says jersey like breakbeats and obscure kick drum patterns, although Hoodboi got his start from flipping RnB jams with these concepts, his technical abilities implied that there was much more in store. Now with a bigger following and a label backing him up, Hoodboi hit home with this new track Palm Reader giving us everything we ever wanted, it also doesn't hurt that Lido is featured.
This track takes our emotions to the future with a retro psychedelic layering of vocoder infused synths and colorfully arpeggiated brass. The entire piece delivers a delicate idea while progressing into an energetic beat surrounded by lush arrangement. This track is definitely out of the ordinary but at the same time we all saw it coming. After this release we are extremely excited to hear what else Hoodboi has in store for us on the rest of the EP.
