This is the b-side from Animal Collective’s upcoming “Applesauce” 10″, out next week on Domino Records.  It’s quite a bit darker and sparser than anything on Centipede Hz, but doesn’t sacrifice the goofy steel-drums-from-Mars stuff. You can practically hear Avey Tare’s neck veins bulging. And, if my ears don’t deceive me, he’s still singing about eagles. Nice.
