[Premiere] GAWP - Gold Baby[Psycho Disco!]

August 17, 2018 -

Louis Garcia

GAWP is the UK's biggest kept secret when it comes to dirty tech house. His brand comes along with some massive tracks on Dirtybird, This Ain't Bristol, Night Bass, and many more. In the midst of a huge North American tour, GAWP has decided to grace us with an EP on one of our favorite labels Psycho Disco!, ran by house legend Treasure Fingers.

'Gold Baby' carries a deep garage house vibe as with most of GAWP's discography, but is packed with a few nasty drops. The synth work is extremely experimental with crushing analog synths and a minimal amount of sample work that adds to its hypnotic vibe.

As with other Psycho Disco! releases, this track gives homage to old school house with its throwback Euro House chord progression in the breakdown. The chords give a harmonic resolution to the otherwise dissonant psychosis developed in the drops of the track.

Overall this release is packed with mind blowing moments and we can't wait to see it pop off dance floors after its massive release this weekend.
