Are you freaking kidding me?! Spending the night in a spa, getting pampered, and drinking that bubbly while relaxing but also getting down to EDM?! This was such an insane, one-of-a-kind party and I’m so glad to have been there for the kick off.
Sunday night Live for Live Music made history by hosting a Deep House Decompression Spa Party at Body By Brooklyn, a luxury European-style spa and lounge in Clinton Hill. Confused? Here’s the low down: upon entrance, all the guests were handed a glass of champagne and sent off to the changing room with robes and towels. Once cloaked in the plush robes provided, guest were free to explore the 10,000 square foot space complete with a sauna, hot tub, eucalyptus steam room, 1 full bar, 1 cash bar, a fireplace (great for warming bums), a lounge area that doubled as a dance floor, a snack table, and last but absolutely not least, the four amazing DJ’s that set the mood just right.
The vibes of this group of partiers did not disappoint and neither did the talent. Whether warming up in the hot tub or receiving a deep tissue massage, Tony Quattro, Subset, Poolboy92, and Hiyawatha threw down the perfect combo of tunes to help us all relax when needed, and throw our hands up when we wanted. Relaxing with a deep tissue massage, lounging in the hot tub, or sweating it out with the calm eucalyptus aroma, there was never a dull moment. Hey, when in robe right? The illuminated lounge area made the perfect dance floor for all 150 people in attendance, which you may think is a lot, but there was actually more than enough room sit, dance, and roam as we pleased. However, I can tell you right now that this is definitely the start of something amazing and I’d doubt if it would stay that way. To avoid FOMO at all costs, follow L4LM and Body By Brooklyn to make sure you’re informed about the next one because, seriously, you do not want to miss it! I’m having withdrawals already…
