With the quality and regularity of UK festivals exponentially increasing as of late, Global Gathering is always one of the most talked about in the country, with consistently unbelievable lineups and a notoriously good crowd. Nestled away in the East of England, just south of Birmingham big things are expected this year, with the brand new super arena 'The Hanger,' as well as innovative advancements to venues such as the Global Freight Depot and the Bunker. VIP ticket holders have the chance to explore the VIP Forest, providing a sense of relaxation away from the madness of the main arenas.
Music on the first day begins at 5pm, going on through the night and ending at 3am. The final day, the Saturday, is a music marathon with acts kicking off the action at midday, and finishing at 4am. Global Gathering this year boasts one of the best dance lineups in Europe with main acts headlining such as The Prodigy, Chase & Status and Eric Prydz. In my opinion one of the best trance lineups too, with stalwarts of the scene Aly & Fila, New World Punx and John O'Callaghan all playing. In addition to this some of the UK's brightest underground stars are set to be spinning with the likes of Hannah Wants, Hot Since 82, My Nu Leng, Low Steppa and DJ EZ completing a star studded lineup.
