June 10, 2013 -

Daily Beat Staff

So as the rest of the world knows by now, here in Britain we like to stick to that underground scene, filled with those deep, tech, and techno beats. This weekend the Daily Beat team are headed out to FOUND Festival in Shoreditch, London. Our friends over at Eastern Electrics have managed to grab us a number of exclusive interviews, including the likes of Shadow Child. The FOUND line-up is an absolute jaw dropper with the some of the biggest names in the Deep House and Techno scene. Below we've posted all the information you need to get included in this weekend 'start of summer' festivities. Make sure you get tickets while you still can, and don't forget the warehouse afterparty at Great Suffolk Street Warehouse!

On Saturday 15th June FOUND christens summer in London with a unique one-day outdoor showcase. Cutting edge electronic sounds come to Shoreditch's Haggerston Park. Born as a series of 15 underground club events almost two years ago, FOUND was amongst those pioneering the melting pot of sub genres that came to define the re-birth of house and techno in the capital and London's love for all things electronic. Pushing this ethos forward, Saturday 15th June see five of the most discerning club brands in the big smoke fuse their distinct musical roots. Joining forces to curate a cross-section of the finest talent from across the UK, Europe and further afield, these stellar promoters have programmed their own stages with a diverse pool of artists. Unified by a love of four-to-the-floor and influenced by musical movements forged in the likes of Berlin, Chicago, Detroit, in New York and here on our own doorstep, this selection of acts promises nothing more than a blend of some truly exciting DJs and producers. Whether making waves in their respective scenes or sitting at the top of their game, this program of artists celebrates genuinely talented craftsmen with a shared passion and devotion to sound. Accompanying this eclectic line-up offering will be a hand-picked list of mouth watering foods - a nod to London's street food revolution that alongside electronic music, has played a seminal role in the city's cultural development in recent years. Playing out the headline slot as the sun sets on FOUND will be woman of the moment  Maya Jane Coles. Her meteoric rise to success has seen her become one of electronic musicʼs most sought after producers, with her hotly anticipated debut album about to drop later this year. Following on from a stomping set at last yearʼs Street Party,  MK  will return for 2013, bringing new production partner  Lee Foss  and some anticipated fresh material. Further summer sounds will come courtesy of garage-house aficionado and FOUND favourite  Huxley, Leeds based production duo  Audiojack  and rising stars Shadow Child, Santé, Cyril Hahn and Voyeur. Hailing from Corsica Studios, one of Londonʼs most prominent underground venues, the award winning Trouble Vision  join forces with compatriots  Tief  to curate FOUNDʼs main arena. SUNDAY-MUSIC head honcho Henrik Schwarz  will be making a rare live appearance with deeper grooves coming from NYC stalwarts Wolf + Lamb, neuroscientist producer  Floating Points  and multifaceted trio Dark Sky. Support comes in the worthy form of Beats In Space founder Tim Sweeney, deliciously unconventional  Session Victim  and Tief residents  Casino Times,  Hesseltime  and  Mr Solid Gold.

Following two years of sell-out warehouse parties,  Magna Carta  will host an arena with a distinctly French feel. As well as a very exciting special guest headliner yet to be announced, the arena is headed by Apollonia co-founder  Shonky  with dancefloor friendly, disco tinged house vibes to move both feet and hearts. Amine Edge will also be showcasing material from his most recent project with close friend DANCE  and Amnesia resident  Betoko  will be keeping bodies shaking with infectious beats. Support comes from some of the UK party purveyors WaFF, Alexis Raphael, Max Chapman.

Hosting the VIP arena could be non other than the FOUND familyʼs own TRIX with an impeccable track record for being the first to showcase the freshest talents this rapidly evolving scene has to offer. True to form, TRIX have assembled a sterling line-up with Swedenʼs  Axel Boman,  the increasingly inspired sounds of  Midland  and unstoppable Futureboogie duo  Waifs & Strays.  Long time TRIX affiliate BrEaCh is also on hand, and a producer whoʼs stirring things up on the underground joins for a Live set, Tom Demac.  The Menendez Brothers  and TRIX residents  Schumen  and  Goulcher  support with a selection of house and techno staples old and new.
