This party just keeps getting better and better! Round two of Live For Live Music’s Deep House Decompression Spa Party did all but disappoint. By now, you all know what this party is about, but have you been yet?! No?! Get your ass to the next one, you newb. What was so special and different about this specific spa party, you ask? New faces, robe contest, Sock’em Boppers, backrgound X-men cartoons, actual Deep House music, and Drop The Lime, to say the least.

Body By Brooklyn swarmed with avid spa-goers this past Sunday night as it held it’s second Deep House Spa Party. Because of the addition of a contest, ostentatious robes overran the place in hopes of the grand prize: a free massage! I saw everything from geishas, pimps and hippies, to my Star Wars Storm Trooper buddy (I was dressed as R2D2.) Subset and Beto Cravioto of Kaviar Disco Club set the mood for the night followed by the guys of DKDS, and special guest, Drop The Lime AKA Curses, who got on the decks for what seemed like a couple of hours, dropping the most tranquil but groovy beats. In a daze, I traipsed around the place stopping at each of its amenities to absorb all of the relaxing elements as intended. The eucalyptus steam room clarified my senses, the hot tub pruned my toes, the fireplace warmed my skin, the refreshment table filled my belly, and the dance floor let me groove.

The dance floor filled up and toward the closing of the party, all contest participants were told to approach the DJ booth. We all lined up to strut our stuff on the catwalk and be judged by the crowd and DJ’s. One orange-sunglassed girl pulled a crazy somersault out of her robe and won the judges over. Congrats girl! The next event is coming up on February 23rd! Stay tuned for the announcement and preview!
