LOUISAHHH!!! will spin her palpitating beats at Slake this Saturday, February 28th! Slake's weekly party, Technoir, brings the warehouse atmosphere every weekend, and this event will surely be one of the darkest nights yet.

New York City holds a special place in LOUISAHHH!!!'s heart. Before relocating to Los Angeles in 2006, she spent her formative years here; at 17, she began to sneak into clubs as she built her interest in dance music. Collaborations with an exhaustive slew of different house artists led her to a chance encounter with Brodinski in Miami, where he was DJing at an Annie Mac party. The Bromance Records founder and producer soon inducted LOUISAHHH!!! into the techno-centric roster, where she joined the likes of Gesaffelstein and Maelstrom.

Just over a week ago, LOUISAHHH!!! released the Friction EP with Maelstrom. Maelstrom explains via Soundcloud that the EP "reflects both a continuation of our past work and an eager departure into a full-blown, driven sound." Indeed, it features a largely minimal sound that lightly references the acid movement of the late '80s, albeit with their signature, polished feel.

The techno queen is fresh off the rave boat, Holy Ship!, where her musical family claimed an entire party night to themselves (dubbed "The Bromance Records Party"). Her most recent show in New York took place last December, when she co-headlined with Brodinski at Verboten. It was a surprise-filled, hard-edged underground set that elevated the crowd to new heights.

The Partysquad and Slake resident Alex English will join LOUISAHHH!!!.
