EKALI's 'Babylon Tour' ~ Don't Sleep On This

Barrett Hoffer

Hailing from Vancouver, Canada, Nathan Shaw (better known as EKALI) is a name you should be familiar with if you're not already. Not too familiar? Kind of rings a bell? Let me help you out a bit.

First of all, the man is an Alumni of Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo. He earned writing credit on Drake’s album ‘If You're Reading This It's Too Late’. His SoundCloud is full of experimental tracks, remixes, originals, and full length mixes. Just about anything to satisfy a wide range of listeners. He’s recently released music on OWSLA, Atlantic, & Big BeatBack in august he released Babylon ft. Denzel Curry(my personal favorite). And not even a week ago he dropped Past Life’ ft Opia. Lets not forget the 'Flume' remix he made. Or the 'Snails' remix. Or his Triple J Mixup. Better yet? Just go ahead and explore for yourself. You'll like what you find.

Currently traveling around NZ, AUS, Canada & USA on his ‘Babylon Tour’, EKALI has plenty of stops stateside between now and the end of the year. I'm pleased to say that I’ll be in attendance to see him playing The Foundry at The Fillmore in Phila this weekend. DON’T SLEEP ON THIS! Get your butt out there and catch him playing live. If you're unable to see him live, then be sure to check out his various social media pages (Facebook & Twitter) for nothing short of entertainment.
