DOCO & Jayceeoh - Up In The Club Like

December 9, 2015 -

Louis Garcia

The names DOCO and Jayceeoh may sound familiar to the avid Soundcloud lurker. Both artists have been building a solid foundation of followers with some of the most menacing club tracks of the past few years.

DOCO's ability to match a crowd pleasurer with an EDM drop has made him one of the masters of online bootlegs, with edits from artists such as Lorde earning over half a million listens. Jayceeoh on the other hand has already dabbled in EDM's highest achievements with releases on big name labels such as Ultra, Fool's Gold, Buygore, and DIM MAK, to name a few. With a rapid growing fan base and support from the big dawgs at Uprise Music, DOCO and Jayceeoh decided to team up on 'Up In The Club Like'.

This track wastes no time with a heavy buildup coming in at 15 seconds followed by a drop at 30 seconds, no need to fast forward it you impatient Soundcloud user. The 808 sub bass kicks in with an obscure pattern that reminds us of a filthier Main Course release. These trap boys have taken on a house tempo giving us a banger that's in the middle ground of our favorite genres.

DOCO and Jayceeoh bring out the best in each other with high energy drum patterns that drive the sonically pleasing sound design and hint at influences of modern bass house. Still, no genre description could accurately fit with the direction of 'Up In The Club Like'. The drop resolves into a halftime beat that evolves into an even more complex drop initiating the hybrid trap mode.

Even at its strangest moments I would imagine this track fitting perfectly to a room full of trippy club-goers. If you're feeling like an alien at the club then this is definitely something that's gonna tickle your interest.
