A few months back, DJ Trademark put together one of the best mashes of 2012 entitled 'City of Dreams (TM Vocal Bootleg).' Trademark, a Chicago, IL native, released today his mash-video for his bootleg 'City of Dreams.' As one of my favorite mashes of 2012, I wanted to share this in part of all the controversy over the mashup scene and whether we consider it ethically right to produce music (mashing) that's already been released. As a true example of the market demand for mashups out there, Trademark is nearing 200,000 plays on his via his SoundCloud and has truly been a pioneer in the mashup scene. I would be surprised to see Trademark transition effortlessly into original mixes while maintaining his popularity. Enjoy this wonderful mash and even better video.
