As summer days draw nearer only one thing is for certain – its almost Campout time! On October 4-6, Campers from coast-to-coast will gather on the iconic shores, grassy fields, and wild dancefloors of Modesto Reservoir Campgrounds for another weekend of outrageous fun.

Today, Head Counselor Claude unveiled the lineup of DJs and live acts that will be soundtracking Dirtybird Campout 2019. The billing features returning Dirtybird favorites and new inductees from across the worlds of techno, bass, hip-hop, and house. This multi-genre lineup will light up the Birdhouse and Bass Lodge stages as campers get a peek inside Claude’s eclectic curation and leftfield picks.

The Birdhouse stage will be ready to impress with a stacked house and techno lineup. Leading the charge of underground headliners will be hard-hitting Ovum boss Josh Wink, experimental cuts from dance music scientist Herbert, and Ukranian techno magician Nastia. Top Dirtybird Players will be ready to play with a master session from Walker & Royce, banging tech-house from Shiba San, and wildly creative jams from Will Clarke. Don’t forget Thursday’s early arrival pajama party featuring the incredible Tiga B2B Matthew Dear with warm-up by VonStroke.

Bass Lodge will once again play host to the oddballs of the global bass and urban music scenes. Headlining the stage for 2019 will be veteran turntablist Cut Chemist, jungle badman Dillinja, the sultry vocals of Jhené Aiko, a special drum ‘n bass set from Nastia, and the dank-infused creativity of Wajatta. Campout five-timers Eprom and Barclay Crenshaw will face off in a special sonic warfare debut B2B that will stretch your brain into a piece of salt water taffy. You can also check out Stones Throw mainstay DāM-FunK, legendary drum ‘n bass legend Adam F, the sublime Detroit sounds of Amp Fiddler, future bassists Jimmy Edgar and Machinedrum as J-E-T-S, alternative German techno master Robag Wruhme, the genreless campout favorite Mija and Canadian Bass Coast curator The Librarian.

For those of you looking for that “classic Dirtybird” sound, plenty of favorites will take the stage on “OG” Saturday night when all the original label artists and friends will perform at The Birdhouse. Never underestimate the ability of the core team if you are looking to dance. The Persian cowboy Ardalan will be supporting his big new label release alongside seasoned performances by fan favorite Justin Martin, the slothman Sacha Robotti, the elite underground trax of J.Phlip and Kill Frenzy, heavy bass lines of Worthy, sonic weirdness of Christian Martin, and tech-funk of Claude VonStroke.

First stop for campers will be heading to Games HQ to be assigned to their Color Team for the weekend. By day Dirtybird Campers will head to the Games Field with their team leaders where they can dominate in their old-time favorite activities alongside friends and DJs. In addition to the classics like dodgeball and tug of war, campers can get stuck into unique lake activities like the wacky costumed Boat Race or the .5K Floatie race. Creative campers can test their crafting skills with totem making, screen-printing, tie-dye, and more. Grill$on’s BBQ will also be fired up all weekend long, serving mouth-watering classics as well as vegan options. BBQ Tickets are available for purchase through the Dirtybird Campout website and are sure to sell out as campers race to get their hands on some of the best grub in the nation.

Those in search of The Bunkhouse from previous years, should keep their eyes peeled for the new and improved Claude’s Cabin. Claude is revamping this area himself and creating a sanctuary of laughter and stupidity on par with his popular YouTube “Stroke Show”. This year, Claude’s Cabin will play host to wacky contests, comedy and unexpected new programming. Fans and artists can take part in one of the many inclusive activities such as the Talent Show, Beatboxing Competition, Pie Eating Contest, Deep House Yoga, Camper Comedy or even Speed Dating!  Grab a plate of ribs from Grill$on’s and sit down at the cabin to enjoy the hilarious jokes from the Ruffled Feathers Comedy Show, featuring headliner comics handpicked from Claude’s many visits to the Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store in LA this year. Successful fan initiated skits like the Rainbow Drag Show will be back as well as other new “Peacock Program” activities. All the original campout favorites will also be back, from Lapdance for your Life to The Great Bingo Revival. We cannot wait to see how Reverend Rusty Reams is going to top last year when he gave away a 1997 gold Subaru!

The DIRTYBIRD team has been hard at work to make this Campout the best one yet, and have come up with some major upgrades to wow 2019 Campers. Birds that purchase the Thursday Arrival Pass will be guaranteed premier camping spots and group camping will get comfier with better electrical access. The Birdhouse Stage is undergoing a sound make-over to ensure Campers will enjoy even better sound quality and will expect the new layout to make it easier and quicker to journey between sets and save their legs for the dance floor.

This will be the second year that Dirtybird Campout West touches down at the Modesto Reservoir Campgrounds in Central California. With its intimate setting and overflowing lineup, 2019 will certainly be the best Campout to date. There’s no better time to gather some campmates and head to the lake.
