DIRTYBIRD partnered with SHE IS THE MUSIC, an industrywide movement to empower female creators to produce an all-women digital festival, a four-day event including activities outside the beats. To uplift femme-identifying dance artists around the globe, the event will take place on March 11-14th through DIRTYBIRD’s Twitch channel. Proficient artists like Mija, LOUISAHHH!, Gina Turner, Uffie, Nala, Worthy, LP Giobbi, Lauren Flax and JenniLuv are among the many talents to see.
Holding a wide range of veteran and emerging talent, Women In Music embraces these women for their cutting edge, extraordinary contributions to electronic music. Mija will be headlining the event in addition to hosting her own ‘Welcome To My House’ bloc, while LOUISAHHH! robust with her distinctive French electro sonics, is set to plunge her virtual audience in a trance.
Besides the prodigious headliners, an impressive catalog of a multitude of underground powerhouses is set to perform. Expect plenty of leftfield house and techno from LA figurehead Jenniluv of Making Shapes fame. LP Giobbi will make her DIRTYBIRD virtual debut, while label resident Nala is bringing Uffie along to her TV Party bloc. Worthy, Lauren Flax, Alinka, Victoria Rawlins, DJ Holographic, PZB Live, Black Girl / White Girl, Taylor Bratches, and Camea will join alongside to extend the field of dance sounds for the weekend event.
Not only will there be a groovy tunes, yoga workshops and other events will also take place. Gina Turner will kick off the festivities on March 11th with a yoga workshop among other activities- soon to be revealed. Listeners can enjoy beats along with the opportunity to contribute their beliefs on video describing what being a Women in Music means to them. Those selected will be shared on the stream to celebrate and build the knowledge and network of women in the industry.
