That's right ladies and gentlemen. Known by day as Gary Richards (the brainchild behind HARD Summer & Holy Ship), DESTRUCTO is set to invade Philadelphia's nightlife at Rumor this Friday night (8/9/13) for a night of heavy bass, techno, and electro madness. Haven't heard about him before? That may be because of how involved he has been behind the scene. As incredible as this guy is as a DJ and producer, his true genius has been with event planning. I mean come on, the two aforementioned festivals are quickly rising to the pinnacle of electronic music events, and they're both his brainchild (PS we're covering Holy Ship in January, so this won't be the last time you hear about it!).

"Destructo began DJing and producing undergrounds in the early 90s in Los Angeles, most notably creating RaveAmerica at Knotts Berry Farm. Rick Rubin subsequently handpicked Gary for A&R in electronic music at Def American Recordings, launching a noteworthy career with such acts as Lords of Acid, Messiah, David Holmes, Basement Jaxx, Dub Pistols, God Lives Underwater and founding 1500 Records and Nitrus Records. After carrying his success to the metal world with No Name Mgmt, Destructo returned to his roots in 2007 by creating HARD.
