Desert Daze 2018 Will Be California's Most Experimental And Psychedelic Festival Yet

Gone are the days when we could attend Coachella and FYF Fest to enjoy the bliss of reverberated guitars, distorted analog synths, and grungy sweat driven percussion. The fall of these festivals has left Californians seeking elsewhere to satisfy the need for a place to discover the strange. This year Desert Daze is the obvious solution with a 3 day weekend of psychedelic rock hosted in Lake Perris, about a few hours outside of Los Angeles.

Moon Block Party has moved up in the ranks with their phenomenal events surrounding the annual Desert Daze. This festival has become a staple for modern day psychedelic rock, shoegaze, and experimental music.

This year the festival proudly sports Tame Impala at the top of their lineup, easily the most well known psych group of today. They also added shoegaze megastars My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive to the mix to make this weekend the dreamiest yet. King Gizzard, Warpaint, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, and Death Grips are all big names in indie rock will be guaranteeing a big turnout for Desert Daze.

We are most looking forward to visiting Lake Perris since it is the first time they'll be hosting the festival here. The lake will be swimmable and there will be a ton of camping and nearby hiking areas for those looking to enjoy the surrounding nature.

Overall we are very excited to explore our first Desert Daze. stay tuned for our post show review!
