Colorado-based producer DeluXe (born Wayne Schultheis) discovered his love for electronic music 4 years ago. Just two months ago he unveiled his sophomore album “Pieces Left Behind,” and has earned a solid following on his Soundcloud account. “I Feel Good” is a Glitch Hop-esque track that will have you thinking Pretty Lights; that should come as no surprise because DeluXe lists the fellow Colorado native as an artist he takes inspiration from. This song seamlessly sequences samples from the James Brown track of the same name, breathing new life into a timeless classic. The thick bass lines and syncopated rhythms will keep you grooving from start to finish, and the entire album is no different. I reached out to DeluXe to ask about his future plans, and he had this to say:
Moving forward I've got some remixes coming out soon, as well some singles that range from the funkiest shit you've heard, to the grimiest. I am also going to be collaborating with a live drummer for my shows in addition to my own live guitar and trumpet playing.
Head over to his Bandcamp page and grab a free copy of “Pieces Left Behind,” as well as his earlier album, “Falling Into Place.” You won’t be disappointed.
