It's been a long road for Dead Weight as he's attained all the tools and experience that have led to this moment. He's been making music since age of 15 and has been involved in music at the ripe age of 10. He's had practice at a serious artist career under the name JAXON starting around 2020, but felt a calling in a different direction musically. To him, Dead Weight represents a more positive direction that an individual can take with their lives. Rather than collapsing inward, one can fill their spirit with strength, tracks like "The Swarm," being the catalyst to personal achievement and a better path forward.
"The Swarm," goes hard in every conceivable way. The sound feels as if it could be the accompaniment to a horror movie and the drops are some of those aggressive configurations that could be made.
"To me the song represents anxiety and loss of control. It's like an ever growing wound. It seems you can contain the chaos, but can't stop it.”
“Dead Weight is a light switch to me. And I aim for others to see it that way too. The brutal and aggressive style is pushed with the Intention of relief. To untangle the noose. Don't harm others or yourself..rather, put the volume to 11 and let the music take the brunt of your energy.”
- Dead Weight
From every angle Dead Weight is putting his all into the project. He's debut his music in front of audience where he masks up like a black metal band would, yet he shovels out daring and deadly bass sets instead. "The Swarm," is a great entry way to the Dead Weight style, but will undeniably lead to something broader and more intricate down the line.
