I am not really sure what to give away for hitting Daily Beat's biggest milestone to date (2,000+ Likes on Facebook). With giveaways this week to Tydi at Rumor in Philadelphia, as well as a VIP giveaway to Bounce Boat in NYC why stop there, right? Today, I am proud to announce a "A State Of Giveaways." Thanks to House of Hearts and Sound Garden Hall, the package will include a ticket to Armin Van Buuren at Festival Pier, as well as for the after party with Tritonal and Rank 1 at Sound Garden Hall. Good luck!!!!!

The Trance Gods have smiled upon the City of Brotherly Love. In 2013 we’ve been spoiled; a sold out Dash Berlin in January, Aly and Fila in March, and both Markus Schulz and Sander van Doorn in April. With the Philly Trance family growing exponentially, it’s almost no surprise Armin Van Buuren will be kicking off Festival Pier’s summer season on Friday, May 10.

Even as one of Philly’s larger venues, Soundgarden Hall needed more space to accommodate the #1 DJ in the world, so Armin will play across the street at Festival Pier. The space hosted stops on both Kaskade’s Freaks of Nature tour and Skull Candy’s IDentity tour last year, making it a premiere stop for a night of sweat inducing high BPM.

The show will be right in the middle of the tour for “Intense,” AVB’s fifth artist album that drops this Friday, May 3rd (and is currently available to stream on Spotify). Just like the album, the performance will showcase a variety of styles from the trance veteran. Though the album’s first single “This is What it Feels Like” has been classified as more mainstream, the recent success of Armin’s 138-heavy A State of Trance 600 sets as well as an entire ASOT episode devoted to the faster BPM suggests that the Dutch DJ might be heading back to his roots as well.

For those of you who like to dance ‘til the sun rises, the party doesn’t stop at 11 when Festival Pier turns off the lights. As if the lure of Armin wasn’t enough, right across the street will be Soundgarden’s official Armin After Party, featuring Rank 1 AND Tritonal.

We know, lucky us, RIGHT!?

Two sets of DJ’s each bring their own approaches to trance. Hailing from the same home country of Armin Van Buuren (and a whole slew of other DJs), Rank 1 have had a quiet start to the year. But after the recent release of the track “Floorlifter,” evidence suggests that maybe they’re ready to make some noise in Philadelphia.

Tritonal, on the other handm has been non-stop this year, trading their Air Up There podcast for Tritonia, kicking off the ASOT 600 Miami tent at Ultra Weekend 2, and releasing their first of three EPs entitled “Metamorphic.” The 3-song EP, which already has been accompanied by four remixes for the track “Bullet that Saved Me,” truly showcases the evolution of their sound as producers, as well as sets the tone for what’s sure to be their best year yet. If you think you might not have enough stamina to keep the party going after Armin, stay as far away from Soundgarden as you can! We know from experience that Chad and Dave are the archetypes for heart pumping, high octane, and hand raising music.

Choose Armin. Choose the After Party. CHOOSE BOTH. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you spend next Friday with Daily Beat and we usher in the beginning of our Summer 2013.
