In my humble opinion, Culprate is one of the most skilled producers of his generation. In the opinion of clued producers worldwide, he is one of the most skilled producers of his generation. Just listen to his first album, 'Colours' to get an idea of how gifted this guy is, ranging from the hardest neurofunk drum and bass to 2-step garage. To follow it up, Culprate is attempting to create an experimental body of work (with no dancefloor tunes whatsoever), and he wants YOU to help fund it. He's running a campaign via Indiegogo to attempt to muster a target of £22,730, which he says, will completely cover the cost of the album and ensure it is the best work it possibly can be, going towards studio hire, mastering, session musicians and everything in between. It's an innovative venture, and Culprate has a variety of packages to pay by, with perks including vinyls, test presses, and even a 1-1 production lesson via skype. The top prize, which can only be claimed by one person who pays £1,500 to the cause gets a giant, one of a kind canvas of the album's artwork; pretty pricey, but it will be the only one of its kind, and you'd be massively helping Culprate out to make, what he hopes will be the best musical piece of work of his career so far, and it is set to be released in June.
